Guitar Wiz for Chrome.

One Guitar Wiz extension. Search the chord you want to play, or discover the chords on the page you’re reading.

Chrome Web Store release is being prepared. No account or native app required.

Guitar Wiz extension showing Cmaj7, a playable chord diagram, notes, voicing controls and sampled guitar playback.
Search chords in the working extension: a playable shape, its notes and sampled guitar audio.

Search chords.
Find your next shape.

Type Am, Cmaj7 or D/F# in the toolbar popup. See a playable diagram, hear real sampled guitar audio and browse the Guitar Wiz library’s curated voicings.

Keep notes and intervals in view, save favorite shapes, and explore chord tones across the fretboard. Root notes stand out in amber. Flip the neck to the orientation you prefer.

How to use Search chords
Guitar Wiz fretboard explorer with the nut on the left, high E at the top, amber roots, selected chord tones and a Flip button.
The working fretboard explorer: amber roots, selected shape markers and a reversible orientation.

This page.
See the shapes behind the symbols.

Open a song sheet or lesson, choose “This page,” then click “Find chords on this page.” Explore detected chords in the side panel without leaving what you’re reading.

Browse chord thumbnails, hear a voicing, and transpose or save sequences that actually appear together on the page.

How to use This page
An example guitar practice page beside the Guitar Wiz This page view, with detected chord thumbnails and a selected G chord diagram.
The actual This page interface beside an original example practice page.
Blue outlines around G, D, Em, C and slash-chord symbols detected on an example practice page.
Detected notation on an example practice page. Click a blue outline to explore that occurrence.

Go from the page
to the chord.

Blue outlines show the chord symbols found in the source text. Click an outline to open the matching chord in “This page,” or move between repeated occurrences from the side panel.

Hide the outlines whenever you want. The extension keeps the original notation and page layout intact.

Ready offline.

Chord data, diagrams, fonts and guitar samples are included in the extension. Search, playback and local saves work without a network connection.

Use the popup for a quick reference, the full view for exploring, or the side panel beside a lesson.

Your page stays yours.

Scanning starts only when you request it. Visible webpage text is analyzed locally in Chrome and never sent to Guitar Wiz or another service.

Scanning reads accessible text, including chord symbols. It does not listen to audio or read chords from images, video or inaccessible frames.
