Accessibility Features
Explore VoiceOver, Dynamic Type, increased contrast, reduced motion, and haptic feedback in Guitar Wiz, an Apple Design Award winner for Inclusivity.
Guitar Wiz includes accessibility support for reading chord information, navigating practice tools, and receiving feedback in different ways. VoiceOver, Dynamic Type, increased contrast, reduced motion, and cues beyond color help players adapt the experience to their needs.
Read chord information with larger text and contrast
Guitar Wiz responds to system text-size settings through Dynamic Type. Larger text helps make chord names, descriptions, and controls easier to read. Increased contrast gives interface elements clearer separation from their backgrounds.

The screenshots show two different adjustments: stronger contrast in the chord view and larger text for chord information. They can be useful for reading a diagram on a music stand as well as for close-up use.
Navigate with VoiceOver
VoiceOver support provides spoken access to controls and chord information. Players can navigate the interface with familiar accessibility gestures and use the app’s labeled elements rather than relying entirely on the visual layout.
Audio chord previews add another way to explore a voicing. Listen to a chord in the library and inspect its notes and intervals to connect the sound with its musical structure.
Use more than color alone
Guitar Wiz uses text, symbols, and shapes alongside color. Chord diagrams include finger numbers and open or muted string markers, while tuning information includes note names and numerical pitch deviation. These cues communicate information without requiring a player to interpret one color in isolation.
The Metronome also offers haptic feedback and a first-beat accent, providing additional ways to follow the pulse.
Choose a comfortable visual experience
A dark interface supports practice in lower light, and reduced-motion support limits animation for players who find movement distracting or uncomfortable. Larger-screen layouts on iPad, Mac, and iPhone Duo provide additional room for chord diagrams and controls.
Guitar Wiz received the 2026 Apple Design Award for Inclusivity. These features support the broader aim of making guitar tools usable by more players. If an interaction does not work with your accessibility setup, contact the Guitar Wiz team with the device, setting, and feature involved.
