Developed by Bijoy Thangaraj, Guitar Wiz connects Apple Intelligence features with practical tools for learning chords, practicing, and writing songs.

## Apple Intelligence support for chords and songwriting

Guitar Wiz understands the current context in the app, including chords, chord progressions, and Song Maker documents. This contextual assistance helps players explore a relevant chord, work through a progression, or continue shaping an idea in [Song Maker](/song-maker/).

The experience builds on Guitar Wiz’s [guitar chord library](/guitar-chords/), which includes fingerings, diagrams, theory details, alternate shapes, and audio previews. Players can use the [guitar tuner](/guitar-tuner/) and [metronome](/metronome/) as they move from an idea to a playable practice routine.

## Visual Intelligence recognizes guitar chords

The Apple Intelligence collections also connect to Guitar Wiz’s [Song Sheet Scanner](/song-sheet-scanner/). A player can point an iPhone camera at a lyric sheet, songbook, screen, or screenshot. Guitar Wiz recognizes guitar chords in the image and opens the selected chord with its diagram and audio preview.

Guitar Wiz supports Siri and App Intents actions for opening and playing chords, finding chords in the library, managing favorites and collections, starting or stopping the metronome, setting a BPM, opening the tuner, and managing Song Maker documents.
